Canadian Rock Icon Returns to Kootenay’s for an Encore Performance

In the Fall of 2017, Burton Cummings played to sold out shows right across B.C., and now, by popular demand, he is coming back to the Kootenay’s in October with his outstanding “Up Close and Alone" Tour 2019, much to the delight of Kootenay music fans who jammed both buildings to capacity two years ago, and both shows sold out in just a few days.

Burton Cummings’ musical creations continue to resonate with fans in North America.. His voice is considered to be one of the finest and most recognizable in rock music history..He has continued to uphold his impressive reputation as a performer, singer, songwriter, and recording artist. With Canada’s original rock ’n’ roll superstars, The Guess Who, Burton scored an unprecedented string of international hit singles and albums, including These Eyes, Laughing, No Time, American Woman, Share the Land, Albert Flasher, Sour Suite, Glamour Boy, Star Baby, Clap for the Wolfman, and Dancin’ Fool, all written or co-written by Burton. Upon leaving the Guess Who to go solo in 1976, Cummings earned a gold record with his debut solo single, Stand Tall. Then came more than a dozen hit singles and albums including, I’m Scared, I will Play a Rhapsody, Timeless Love, Break it to Them Gently, Fine State of Affairs, You Saved my Soul, My own Way to Rock and Dream of a Child. That latter disc became the very first quadruple platinum-selling album by a Canadian artist.

Cummings is described as Canadian rock ’n’ roll royalty, a National treasure, and a living legend. It is no wonder, as he is a member of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, Canadian Music industry Hall of Fame, Canadian Walk of Fame, Prairie Music Hall of Fame, a multiple Juno Award Winner, and the recipient of the Order of Canada, the Order of Manitoba, and Governor-General’s Performance Arts Award. Burton Cummings is indeed that rare artist who has transcended time, genres, and generations with a body of work that continues to resonate with fans both old and new. Audiences nightly, both those in the USA, and Canada are dancing in the aisles to the hits that defined a generation.
Limit of 4 tickets per person. < /br> This is a show not to be missed, so fans are advised to get their tickets early to avoid disappointment.

Burton Cummings, "Up Close and Alone Tour" is a presentation of the Kootenay Concert Connection in association with the Drive 102.9.
